Fish Mançuru Recipe
Ingredients

1 kg fish (grouper, dusky grouper, white grouper, or red seabream)

1.5 kg onions

1.5 cups vegetable oil

1 tea glass of water (about 100 ml)

1 tablespoon ground red pepper

1 tea glass of vinegar (about 100 ml)

Instructions
Preparing the Onions:
Slice the onions coarsely (in thick half-moons). Lightly sauté them in vegetable oil until slightly softened.
Sauce:
Add the ground red pepper to the sautéed onions and mix well.
Arranging the Fish:
Clean the fish and cut them into slices about two fingers thick. Place the slices in a pot.
Cooking:
Cover the fish completely with the sautéed onions. Add the water, then cook over low heat until the fish is tender.
Finishing Touch:
About 5–10 minutes before removing from heat, add the vinegar and salt.
Serving:
Once cooked, remove from heat and serve warm.
