On the third day of the Tropical Fruit Festival organized by Alanya Municipality for the second time this year, important names met with Alanya residents. While thousands of Alanyaites flocked to the event where various tropical fruit stands were opened and exhibited, experts in Turkish cuisine and healthy nutrition were highly appreciated with the culinary workshops they organized. There was great interest in the workshops organized by Pastry Chef Tuğba Ünal, TV programmer and model Çağla Şıkel, bread expert Nevin Us and Prof. Dr. Birol Saygı.
MAGNIFICENT DESSERT WORKSHOP BY TUĞBA UNAL
Tuğba Ünal, one of Turkey’s most famous pastry chefs, came together with the people of Alanya on the third day of the festival. Tuğba Ünal, who prepared delicious desserts with tropical fruits and served them to the citizens, became the center of attention of the citizens with her culinary secrets. Tuğba Ünal also presented a cake she prepared to a young girl who was in the area and had a birthday.
GREAT INTEREST IN ÇAĞLA ŞIKEL
One of the most crowded workshops of the event was the Fit Tropical Recipes Workshop of Çağla Şıkel, one of Turkey’s favorite names with her beauty and great recipes in the kitchen. Stating that she has never lacked avocados in her daily life, especially Alanya avocados are always at home, Şıkel became the center of attention of the citizens with the fit recipes she prepared.

Alanya Mayor Adem Murat Yücel and Chamber of Commerce President Eray Erdem presented Şıkel with a gourd, a shawl made of Alanya silk and a Turkish flag prepared by disabled individuals after the workshop. Çağla Şıkel emphasized that very beautiful tropical products are grown in Alanya and thanked Mayor Yücel for realizing such a beautiful organization. President Yücel said, “Alanya deserves the best and the most beautiful of everything. Today, we are very happy to host a valuable name like you in this meaningful and beautiful organization. Welcome and enjoy your stay,” he said.
THE FUTURE OF AVOCADO WAS EXPLAINED
Birol Saygı, Head of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at Beykoz University Faculty of Art and Design, talked about scientific studies on tropical plants and their benefits. Mr. Saygı also gave information about the future of avocado and shared information about its place and importance in Turkish cuisine.
NEVİN US GAVE THE SECRET OF MAGNIFICENT BREADS WITH TROPICAL FLAVORS
Bread master, local food and bread researcher, cake and cookie designer Nevin Aydın Us created special and delicious recipes for thousands of citizens filling the area. Us’s Tropical Bread Workshop, which was followed with great interest, received full marks from the citizens. Us, who shared her fragrant recipes with the citizens, became the center of attention of the festival with her flavors that will be remembered for a long time.
